Last fall, the Government of Manitoba announced an investment in a new facility that will replace the current Portage District General Hospital. As part of planning for the new facility, input from health care workers, patients, caregivers and residents is required to ensure the space meets local population needs.
A brief 6-8-minute survey has launched to engage the experiences and perceptions of health care workers, patients and residents of Portage la Prairie and surrounding areas that will inform the new hospital’s design. Questions will focus on personal experience at the facility and feedback on physical space features, such as wayfinding, parking, and cultural or religious spaces.

Your input is an important part of ensuring the new facility is built to meet the needs of care teams and the patient populations they serve. Opportunities to share more information about planning will occur over the coming months.
