About the Virtual Session
Critical incidents are highly stressful events that have the potential to overwhelm a workplace. Leaders have a key role to play when a critical incident occurs. Utilizing relevant scenarios and a trauma-informed approach, this session will explore the kinds of critical incidents you may face in your workplace, the stages of Critical Incident Stress Management, and practical tips for leaders to help minimize the impact of distressing events on employees and facilitate their recovery and improved level of function.

- Open to all staff in the region.
Notes to Participants
- Participants will need access to a computer with speakers and a microphone in order to participate virtually.
- This session has 75 maximum and a 25 minimum number of participants.
Registration is on the LMS
- Go to the LMS log in page. Your pop-up blocker must be disabled.
- Create an LMS account (if you don’t already have one). A work email address is required – please connect with your hiring manager for assistance with this.
- Log into the LMS.
- Use the search feature (top right) to find "EAP" and then click register on the workshop(s) you wish to take.
- After you have registered for the workshop, you will be sent the link for the virtual session.
