COVID-19 Vaccines - Storage and Handling

As more COVID-19 vaccines are available for use in Manitoba, their storage and handling requirements can be difficult to remember. As a result, Manitoba Health created the attached Storage and Handling Quick Reference Guide that can be used to ensure the vaccines are being stored and used according to their product monographs. 

The Vaccine Warehouse will be distributing printed versions of this resource with any COVID-19 vaccine orders for the coming weeks. They can be posted on the fridge or anywhere needed to ensure all staff who work with the COVID-19 vaccines are aware of the timelines around the use of the vaccines once in the fridge and after dilution or puncture. Whenever possible, dates and times should be marked on the vials to identify when they expire based on this guide.
