Health Care Workers with Underlying Medical Conditions and Potential Risk Factors for Severe COVID-19
In follow-up to the April 23, 2020 Call To Action, the memo and guidance document for health care workers with underlying medical conditions and potential risk factors for severe COVID-19 have been adjusted to reflect Southern Health-Santé Sud protocols and policies. Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to review and engage in the processes as required.
Accounting for Bravery: Tax Help for Frontline Healthcare Workers
CPA Manitoba is offering to prepare income tax returns, free of charge, for healthcare workers and medical professionals across the province who are directly involved in COVID-19 efforts. This program is only open to those who do not have an existing relationship with a CPA. Applicants are to complete a simple online form. Eligible front-line workers will be connected with a CPA who will receive their documentation remotely. The program covers basic individual, spousal and dependent children's tax returns. Anybody who is interested in this program is asked to visit the CPA website. Directors of Health Services and Program Directors (or delegates) are to share with staff as appropriate.
