Like all of us, a person or child with FASD is unique and special. Each has their own individual strengths and challenges. They have brains that work a little differently and often different approaches to caregiving are needed to help them become their “best person”. (Manitoba FASD Centre)
The Manitoba FASD Network includes FASD Diagnostic Coordinators who can help facilitate referrals and assessments for children from birth to the age of 18 living in the region as well as assist with access to community resources following diagnosis.
The assessment team consists of developmental pediatrician, geneticist, psychologist, occupational therapist as well as speech-language pathologist.
